Radio License Classes: Because of the technician and general license classes, we had six new technician licensees and three radio amateur licensees upgraded to general class.

Newscasts: Tim Miller mentioned that ipod newscasts related to amateur radio can be put on the repeater.  Details are forthcoming on that. An announcement of the monthly club meetings will be put on the 73 machine too.

CW Class: Several people have  indicated an interest in having a CW class.  Larry volunteered to hold that class and Tim will furnish interested parties with Larry’s email address.

May Fox Hunt:  The May foxhunt was held on May 10.  Larry, WA9FFZ, was the fox and hid at Ferguson Cemetery on Indian Creek Road near Silverville.  Going into this hunt the tally for the year saw four hunters with one victory apiece.  Those hunters winning this year so far were January, Keith and Ann Harris, N9KH/K9NOT, February, Mike, KF9NP, March, Ray Stevens, KB9LGS, and April, Larry, WA9FFZ.  Four hunters showed to track down the fox for this hunt.  They were the Harris Team, Keith/Ann, Mike, Ray and Ben, K1NT.  Keith and Ann were the first to arrive in an hour and five minutes.  Ray arrived in one hour and twenty-five minutes, Mike and Ben arrived nearly together after one hour and forty minutes.  It was a close contest with Mike logging 16.8 miles, Keith and Ann logging 17.2 miles, followed by Ray at 18.7 miles and Ben with a little over 22 miles.  Therefore, Mike takes the lead with two victories for the year.  He will be the June fox and the hunt will be back to the usual third Saturday, June 21, starting at 4:30 PM.
