In order to string our dipoles for
Field Day, we use a slingshot to shoot a fishing sinker hooked
to fishing line over a tree branch or whatever else we deem
appropriate for antenna hanging. We then tie a piece of nylon
string to the line and draw it over the branch with this
electric drill attached to the spool of fishing line. Brandon
Wires, KB9SNP, is seen here operating the "winch".

Field Day Co-Chairman Ben Hofmann,
KB1AHR, pulls one end of the dipole over a branch on one side
of the road while Mike Boles, KC9FHX, and Mike Wright, KF9NP,
secure the other end.
Field
Day - Saturday, June 26 and Sunday, June 27 2004

Field Day Co-Chairman Tim Wray,
KB9SNL, and Mike Boles, KC9FHX, find an interesting discovery
in the street in front of the shelter house upon their arrival
at 6 AM Saturday morning. The local law enforcement came by to
remove it for us. The antennas were unscathed during the party
that had obviously taken place there overnight!

Can you say "Solar Power
Credit"?
